Bill is a health club industry veteran who started
his full time career in 1986. He is internationally recognized for
his expertise on the industry, leadership, management, sales, sales
management, marketing, excellence in operations and designing the
customer experience. Bill has presented at major industry conventions
and events on five continents. IHRSA, IHRSA Institute, IHRSA Profitability
Conference, IHRSA Asia-Pacific Forum, Club Industry, FILEX, Russian
Fitness Festival, IHRSA European Conference, Fitness Industry Association
(FIA), Mid-Atlantic Club Management Association (MACMA), FitLife
and California Clubs of Distinction (CCD)). He has three training
videos currently available with Healthy Learning/IHRSA on Sales Management,
Corporate Sales and Retention. He has previously served as the President
of MACMA, on the American Council on Exercise’s Industry Advisory
Panel, on Club Business Pro’s Advisory Panel, as a faculty
contributor to Club Success Magazine, and on the Wellness Health
Education Network’s Advisory Panel. He currently serves on
Club Solutions Magazine Advisory Board, Club Industry Magazine’s
Advisory Board, as a regular contributor to IHRSA’s “Ask
an Industry Leader” forum, as a Consultant for Gerson Lehrman
Group, as Chairman of Pax et Bonum Communications (Poverty Aid Foundation)
and is currently serving on the IHRSA Board of Directors as Board
Vice Chairperson, Chairperson of the Membership & Standards Committee
and as a member of the Finance Committee. Bill also participates
in Faust Roundtable #1.
Bill was born and grew up in a military town – Fayetteville
NC. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration
with a concentration in Marketing from East Carolina University in
NC. Bill and his wife are both from the East Coast but have lived
in California for the last 8 years. Bill is married to Adrienne Frances
McBride who worked previously for Sport & Health in the DC market,
overseeing Adult and Children’s Programming. She has her Masters
in Exercise Science and also currently works for Club One, as the
Director of Fitness, Group Fitness and Programming. They have three
young children: Ryan Mathew McBride, age five; Julia Katherine McBride,
age three; and Alexander William McBride, age one. |
